Lisa I. Baker, an associate with Weaver, Schlenger & Mazel, has experience in both family and employment-based immigration law, and assists Human Resources professionals and University and Research administrators with a wide range of corporate and institutional-related immigration filings.

Ms. Baker’s areas of expertise include all aspects of adjustment of status, employment-based nonimmigrant visas, and naturalization. She assists corporate clients and individuals with B, E, H, J, L, O and TN visa petitions and PERM labor certifications. Ms. Baker also has experience in asylum, deportation defense and self-petitions for victims of violence.

Ms. Baker was named a Rising Star by the Northern California Super Lawyers in 2009. She has had a professional interest in international law, including human rights, comparative law, consular practice and U.S. immigration, for more than a decade. She has studied comparative European/U.S. law under Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy in Salzburg, Austria, and Chinese/U.S. business law in Suzhou, China.
